Mathieu Enterprises Inc was founded in 1987 as a trucking company based in Westford, Vermont. As the company expanded to 3 and eventually 5 trucks, they relocated to the intersection of Milton Westford Road and Route 128 in 1993. A few years later, Roland Pigeon, owner of a local bus transportation company, decided to retire. Richard Mathieu saw an opportunity that complemented his current business and acquired Pigeon’s buses.

With a new venture in transporting students for the Westford school district under a three-year contract, Mathieu Enterprises diversified its services. Over the years, the company expanded its clientele to include schools in Essex, Milton, Fletcher, Georgia, Waterville, Johnson, Morrisville, Wolcott, Hyde Park, UVM Medical Center shuttles, and various small private schools.

In 2005, Mathieu Enterprises was acquired by First Student of America. During its operation, Casey Mathieu, son of Richard and Linda, managed day-to-day operations at several schools and oversaw driver training. Casey also launched CCR Sales and Service, a power equipment retail store in Essex, Vermont. Starting on Colchester Road, CCR later relocated to a larger space behind Maplefields in Essex Junction, where it remains today.

In 2023, Casey and his wife Melinda returned to the transportation industry while continuing to operate CCR. They secured contracts with Fletcher in 2023 and Fairfax schools in 2024, marking a renewed commitment to their roots in transportation services.
